Recycle Wastewater
The HortiTech water filtration system effectively removes impurities and contaminants from wastewater, transforming it into clean, reusable water. Several reactor vessels are employed within the filter to treat wastewater performing functions such as regeneration, purging, rinsing, and standby operations, similar to ion exchange columns.
Ammonia Extraction
The HortiTech filtration system process, effectively treats ammonia-N-containing wastewater’s ranging from 20-200 ppm, targeting concentrations of 50-100 ppm, with a projected reduction to as low as 10 ppm. By employing multiple passes, including pH correction and re-pressurization, the influent ammonia concentration can span from 1000 to 10,000 ppm, with lower potassium values enabling even higher ammonia concentrations.
Fertilizer Generation
Once the magnesium ammonium phosphate is regenerated back to magnesium phosphate, the ammonium hydroxide solution produces granular ammonia fertilizers.
